We war not against flesh and blood… Urgent appeal for prayer and action

Dear Friends – If you have followed this site at all you know that this is a no-politics zone for some of the same reasons we don’t talk about the Liturgy much. It is a very contentious topic and likely to divide people who might otherwise kneel side by side in authentic fellowship.

However, there are times when the sediment of the muddy river of politics settles and the waters become completely clear. The time is now, and the issue is crystal clear. Even if you don’t agree with Church teachings on some of these matters, it still matters to you and our country. This is a grave violation of our civil liberties and natural law. The consequences will be no less grave to religious freedom in our nation for people of all faiths. Please read this post over at the National Catholic Register along with our featured story and pray, pray, pray – then get out spread the news.

remember when you go to fight.. fight like it tells in the bible.. go to confession /repent of your sins… then pray.. ask God to go before you… and fight for you… ask to expose all facts – like who is getting money off selling abortion, contraceptives so on.. Dear Dan Even in Australia I am praying that this evil edict of the Obama administration is overcome through prayer and action of all Christian people. What a horror story to read when Obama says : ‘I dont care what your Pope says – you Catholics are going to start funding abortions and sterilizations like everybody else.’ (Seen on the board of Catholic on line behind Obama) This is definitely the work of the devil, and we all have to pray and pray. I sent the article to a friend of mine in S Africa and she is horrified. Mobilize everyone in America, to pray that, that wonderful Replubician Rick Santorum gets to be the next President. This would see a whole new world emerge under his powerful leadership. Good luck America ‘good’ will conquer evil.

Dan, there are times when we are all called to stand up and be counted. And for all Catholics worldwide,this is just that Time. Our Mother Church is under vicious attack from the Evil One. I have been following the developments of the Obama designs against the Catholic Church in your country in the various Catholic Websites. Consequently, I felt it necessary to call upon my Colleagues – The Eucharistic Apostles of the Divine Mercy – to include praying for America and the Catholic Church there at the 3.00 O’Clock Hour of Great Mercy before the Blessed Sacrament. We also commenced the 24-hour Divine Mercy Chaplet Prayer where each Member is given the Hour one is to pray. Whatever happens in your Country, Dan, affects every country where your Government has vice-like strangle-hold. Here in Kenya, the Planned Parenthood – through the Civil Societies which are financed by the American Government – imported the “Abortion and Same-Sex Clauses and other horrors” which were included in our new Constitution under the so-called “Bill of Rights”, despite strong opposition by the Catholic Church. Under this Clause it means that we shall never be able to amend those Clauses for the next 100 years, if ever.

  I am an American Catholic and I wish to offer my deepest gratitude for the efforts of you and your parish, Mary. My hope is that this is an issue that is so powerful that it will unite Catholics and Christians throughout the world. I do not not think the Obama administration can understand what it means to have true faith and that we will not back down on this. Please continue to pray for us and we will also pray for the evils our government has imported to Kenya. Please know that the Obama administration does not speak for the majority of Americans.

    Thank you, Catholicmamma, for appreciating our efforts. The Eucharistic Apostles of the Divine Mercy cover the entire country of Kenya. Although we are based in the Nairobi Capital City, we are from many Parishes in this very large Archdiocese – the Seat of the Head of the Catholic Church in Kenya – His Eminence John Cardinal Njue. Our Apostolate is to take the Message of Divine Mercy to Parishes in all other Archdioceses and Dioceses in the entire country. Since the Evil One has reared his Head in your Country through His High Priest, Obama, in every Parish we take the Divine Mercy Message, we are asking those Catholic Faithful to pray for our Mother Church in America. We are all in this War together. Be encouraged, Catholicmamma that the Church Triumphant is fighting with us and we shall surely overcome.

Dan – I totally agree. I believe our best and greatest weapon in this battle is prayer followed by fasting. We should all be flooding our Bishops and priests with letters of support and requests of action to call the faithful to prayer. I have asked our Bishop to request the Catholic faithful to pray the 7 Penitential Psalms during this upcoming season of Lent. I would also suggest praying the St. Michael pray for protection and strength against the evil one and the “direct attack” of radical modernism.

our small local Catholic Church in a very rural, non Catholic area in the South have found “friends” in our Community of Believer’s- Baptists, Methodists, Evangelicals, plus many other Churches have all rallied to our Catholic side on this issue- I am amazed and grateful. We at St. Mary’s are being active: politically and spiritually on this issue- I am so proud of our little Catholic Church and Community here.

The call to leave our comfort zone and be faithful is as true today as it was 2000 years ago. It is the United States catholics’ turn today to be truthful to their Faith… like so many citizens in other countries now and before.

You are fighting big pharma (2 lobbyists/lawmaker). They don’t usually lose, and they want to sell BC pills. Catholics should sell their stock in these companies.

This isn’t just an American issue. Even in the Philippines which is Catholic country, the Reproductive Health Bill has been pending in Congress for several years now. It also mandates employers to provide reproductive health care services which include contraceptives and abortifacient pills. Although abortion is still illegal here, I don’t think our legislators are fully aware of the implications of the reproductive health measures they imposing.

O Lord, we see in the “compromise” of Your enemies only an attempt to deceive your people. In your Goodness protect Your Spouse and our Mother Church from this and all other snares the enemy sets. Change the hearts and minds of Mr. Obama and those who would sacrifice Your Church on the altar of death. Pray for us O Holy Mother of God, Lady of Victory, that we may all be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Would anyone care to join me in a daily Rosary to change hearts and minds on this attack on the Church? I agree with Nonnie4…we must pray that Rick Santorum in elected president. While that seems nearly impossible now God has not finished His work and St. Jude and St. Thomas More (patron of politicians if anyone did not know) are in Heaven to intercede for the nation, world and everyone.
